My name is Hanne Mohr Sachs. I am an internist from the Bay Area and this will be my first trip to Haiti and overall my first trip practicing medicine in other than the USA.
Thank you Annie and Dirk for helping. I called Brother's Brother today. They have a new Mission Coordinator: Ms. Ilva Letoja, a very helpful and pleasant person. She is sending me, electronically, a list of available meds today or tomorrow and says she will be able to fill our wish list and get the stuff to us well before we leave.
I sent out my own letter soliciting donations yesterday (Annie, please forgive me, I got your name wrong in spite of the fact that I know exactly what it is. Marlen A. pointed it out. I obviously will never be a professional proofreader.). A few friends have indicated that they are sending checks but how many will in the end, I can't tell. It is my first time ever asking for donations for anything.
If anyone has any wisdom for newcomers to this trip, please let me know what it is.
