Thanks for reminding me about this string left hanging. I tried to load it in Haiti last November and it didn’t upload, now let me see if I can find it

Older posts on previous medical trips are available here on the blog until I get things up to date and there is lots more about our work all over the website, although not all the photos are loading at the moment but that should be fixed in a jiffy.

Dear Mesi,
I am having a garage sale at my home next Saturday, June 25 to raise money for Sionfonds. I am very excited to be able to help. I first heard about Sionfonds when one of your medical volunteers, Karen Olson did a presentation at the school where I work, (and where her children attend.) Her presentation insired me to do something to help.
Do you have any brochures or pictures that I could display at the garage sale? I thought it might be a good way to get the word out about Sionfonds. If you don’t, I’ll just make some flyers of my own to put out.

In Chardonier we did see more cases of malnutrition, in which children admitted to eating dirt cakes.
Serena commented on the lack of visible food on the streets in most places closer to the cities their are stands where food can be bought on all the streets.

Ouvrez bouche! Fermez bouche! I can’t believe a cyclone hit while you all were there, but maybe your clinics went to places that otherwise would not have seen aid because of it. I can’t wait to see the pictures. Great work, everyone.

I just wanted to update this entry about the eldery woman who came intothe clinic in Marigot presenting symptoms of cholera, we determined that it was not cholera based on her reaction to her treatment. After two bags of iv fluids, medications and the excellent medical care of Lois Aldrich she was able to stand and give us a smile once I get home I will post the photos
