Yesterday morning after hiking through some rolling hills we arrived at our Kenscoff school. Already many were waiting for us. One woman in particular stood out. She barley seemed to be able to sit up let alone stand. She was pale and very ill . She was seen immediately by our Physicians. She had an extreme infection on her finger that [...] -

In case you didn’t get this earlier
Hi everyone,It’s time to go to HAITI!
We are getting ready to set the dates for the April medical trip to Haiti
The best dates are April 25 to May 1
Also possible is April 18th to 25th (if that works better for everyone). The Canadians say they can’t make it, But I would love to have at least one nurse who has worked the pharmacy before
But we train on the job too, so no worries.
Let me know if you are coming and which dates work better for you – asap – please
Pass the word on to anyone you know who might want to come.
I will send out a flyer soon.
Happy 2012 it is going to be a great year!

In Chardonier we did see more cases of malnutrition, in which children admitted to eating dirt cakes.
Serena commented on the lack of visible food on the streets in most places closer to the cities their are stands where food can be bought on all the streets. -
